Film & Design Is My Life: A Recap & Hint Of The Creative & Latest

Well, well, well. Long time no see. Or, should I say long time no read!! I know, I know I've been away from you all for far too long and I promise it's because of good reason. The simple truth, I've been insanely busy working on one film project after another and simultaneously working on design projects as well. But I promised myself that the moment I had a minute to catch my breath, I'd get right back to you guys. Now what I can't promise is for how long, as ya'll know my schedule is always ever evolving. But for the moment, let's just rejoice in the fact that I'm finally catching up with everyone and I'm super excited to share some new projects with you all this Spring and Summer season.

However, before we tap into the news of some of my latest projects, or before I share and debut the first one...Let's rewind and go back for a bit, shall we?

The last time I engaged with all of you lovely people, my exclusive email subscribers, it was for my fabulous holiday A Very Merry Crimson Christmas blogpost. Yep, that's just how long it's been. In case you're new to my blog and missed the debut of last year's holiday blogpost and would like to catch up, click here. Now, for those of you who follow me on my social media pages, know that I've definitely been active on Instagram and Facebook, sharing daily and weekly design inspiration per the usual...But just not super active with producing blogposts. Writing blogposts definitely requires the commitment of time and unfortunately I just haven't had the luxury of it on my side these past few months.

So what had happened was, lol...Right around the time I wrote and produced my holiday blogpost, I was simultaneously Associate Producing Season 2 of Southern Charm: New Orleans for Bravo Network. I began Coordinating and Producing the show in mid September of last year right up until Christmas. It was truly a wild ride of a show...Juicy, fun, chaotic, dramatic, never a dull moment and of course accompanied with a highly demanding schedule as all film and television projects require. What I'm most proud of for that particular show is the fact that I was the only local and native New Orleanian Producer on board for Season 2. If you never knew this before, I represent extremely hard for my hometown of NOLA and will always do so!! And, absolutely NO ONE knows NOLA culture quite like a native born and raised on the land. Or, no one can tell you what isn't traditional NOLA culture quite like a native New Orleanian.

So as much as the bulk of my film experience comes from the scripted feature and episodic world...I was very happy to be aboard of the creative producing team for Southern Charm: New Orleans if nothing else to contribute to producing more authentic storylines that represent how New Orleanians really live and celebrate day to day life. Now of course, Bravo Executives have their own interpretation of what they think life in New Orleans is all about and what they want the viewers of their Southern Charm brand to see. Nonetheless, I'm happy to announce Season 2 will finally make it's public debut on the small screen this up and coming June on Bravo Network. Now after the holidays were over, I was still enjoying some much needed time off at the start of the New Year. However, I also began getting calls to work on several film projects that all began this past January. I said no to the first few offers that just didn't feel like the right fit for me and finally settled on a TV Pilot for 20th Century Fox that would have me working with one of my absolute favorite Sex And The City gals, Kim Cattrall. Yes, none other than Samantha Jones herself!!! Now those of you who know me well, will know how stoked I was when I found out I'd be working with and have the opportunity to meet and greet Kim Cattrall, as I'm a serious die hard SATC fanatic and a bonafide Sam Jones fan. I literally just about melted the moment she embraced me and I'm totally NOT a star-struck person. I work with celebrities for a living so you tend to get used to it and learn to treat them like the normal people they really are. But, c'mon it was Kim Cattrall aka Sam Jones for crying out loud!! Of course, I had a fan moment and it was EVERYTHING & MORE!!!

But back to the show...So the title of the Fox Pilot starring Kim Cattrall is Filthy Rich and when I received the call, I responded with..."Who doesn't wanna be Filthy Rich? Of course I'll hop aboard, definitely sign me up for that one!!" Well, it wasn't that simple...but after initial negotiations I finally accepted the offer and work for me began in late January. I just wrapped up the TV Pilot last month in early April, and from there...I immediately delve into design projects that I'll finally begin debuting to you all this month.

The first project that I'll be debuting to you all is a partnership campaign with a major brand that I'm super stoked about and really just cannot wait for you all to see the gorgeous photos my Photographer, Stacy Marks captured for this particular Spring Campaign. There will be social media Ads for the campaign and in addition, you all will receive a detailed blogpost where I'll share even more of the design deets, alongside of the beautiful photos and a little backstory of how the partnership came to be. Oh, and of course I'll share product links with you all as well.

Following the debut of that project, I have another partnership campaign I'll be releasing in May with a boutique I partnered with. This one is a rather unique partnership as it's the first of it's kind for my brand. So not only am I looking forward to sharing, but I'm really interested in reading, seeing and hearing your feedback. And, then finally I have a special video project I'm hoping to debut to you all sometime in June right before I began work on another film project.

Also, I'll be traveling this Summer to Europe...both my Husband and myself are taking some much needed time to explore and enjoy life and the fruits of our labor. We both work so very hard and have been planning this trip for quite some time. Finally, we decided to pull the plug and treat ourselves for my Husband's 45th and my early 40th Birthday with a trip to tour several beautiful islands in Europe. When I debut my Summer campaign with the boutique I partnered with, I'll finally announce what islands we'll be touring and so much more. So definitely be sure to stay tuned for that.

And, with all of this latest and greatest news...I'd like to wish you all a very happy, healthy, exciting, relaxing yet event filled Spring and Summer season. Once more, stay tuned for the debut of all of my upcoming projects and in the meantime, I'll leave you with a very subtle hint of what's coming...

I love you 3000!
